A PIC Frequency counter

Quite a while ago I ran upon this site of Wolfgang "Wolf" Büscher, DL4YHF I thought his counter was really neat! I’ve wanted to build one for a long time.

A long time ago I bought a bunch of small LED calculator type displays. Humm… These would make perfect displays for the PIC counter! My primary goal was to keep the footprint of the counter really small so it could be used in QRP rigs, or an antenna dipper. Set out with that goal, here is what I came up with.

My counter is built around the modifications by F8FII that make a counter with a six digit display.

The circuit board file below is in a ExpressPCB format. There are actually three copies on the 2.5 x 3.8 inch board. Even though the board is the correct size for their mini board service, you can't order them that way. There are holes to close to the edge to qualify.
